The esg. story
esg. was formed in 2007, bringing together the history and expertise of a number of businesses specialising in employment related services and skills provision. These businesses have, between them, been delivering to government departments for over 20 years. The six businesses creating esg. and forming its two divisions of employment and skills are:
esg.; an existing Prime Provider with a range of DWP contracts including; Work Programme and Mandatory Work Activity.
Sencia; a subcontractor for our Work Programme who has over the last 11 years delivered DWP flagship contracts including; New Deal Prime Contractor, New Deal for Disabled People, Employment Zones and ESF.
Paragon Skills for Industry, Platinum, orient gold Ltd, triangle training Ltd, stl Ltd; national contractors to the Skills Funding Agency (SFA) for Apprenticeships.Collectively, these companies and the teams working within them support some 40,000 customers a year to achieve new qualifications and achieve sustained employment.
From an original base in Sheffield – where its head office still operates – esg. has grown into a national company, delivering from centres throughout England, Wales and in Scotland. Even with this growth, our core mission, vision and values have remained the same, and, indeed, have strengthened as we have witnessed the positive contribution our work has had on the communities where we work.
