Adrian’s vision of excellence in learning and skills delivery has evolved during his 17 years with esg portfolio company stl (previously Sheffield Trainers Limited), where he was the majority shareholder.

Adrian transformed stl from a six strong team turning over £250k into a beacon of innovation and quality in the UK’s adult learning sector. stl now employs over 275 staff and has a turnover in excess of £16m.

Achieving Adrian’s ‘vision’ has seen stl partner with venture capitalists Sovereign Capital to create the Employability and Skills Group. The group continues to grow at a dynamic pace through acquisition and organic growth to achieve turnover in excess of £40m and now employs over 650 staff across its four delivery companies: stl, sencia, orient and triangle.
