The Employability and Skills Group (esg.) is delighted with its success in being named as a preferred bidder to deliver the Work Programme for the Department for Work and Pensions in the West Midlands (Coventry and Warwickshire; Staffordshire and The Marches).
esg. will be delivering the contract in partnership with its established supply chain of public, private and voluntary sector organisations, many of which deliver specialist services within the communities where we plan to operate.
Commenting on the news, Steve Moore, Group Commercial Director of esg. said: “ We are very pleased with the news of our success in the West Midlands and the opportunity that it brings, allowing us and our sub-contractor partners to pool our experience and learning to deliver sustainable outcomes for customers throughout the region. The results are the end of a demanding bidding round with strong competition. As a business delivering welfare to work services since the beginning of the New Deal era, esg. is already an established prime contractor within the welfare sector. But with new entrants to the market and a significant shift in how the Department has commissioned its flagship Work Programme contract, we knew we needed to do something different and out-deliver the competition if we were to stay in the top tier of contractors to the DWP. We believe that the bid we submitted and the service we will deliver with our partners in the West Midlands are original and will introduce an imaginative customer journey process with fresh interventions.”
